Alexey Palladin

Born in Russia, grew up in North America. Alexey had wonderful teachers of his favorite science of History, since middle school – and was fortunate to conduct his studies while living in both Moscow and Washington, D.C.

"History is a fascinating subject – its was my fortune to have great teachers, who brought me to “closed door” sessions, when the Communist Party of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics began admitting evidence of what really happened. At one such symposium, I literally ran into Vyacheslav Molotov (yes, the one who was of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact and Molotov Cocktail infamy). General Dmitri Volkogonov came to the History Department of Progress Publishers, where I was working, and, in hushed tones, told our small team that he was beginning an effort to access top classified materials – his final product, “Lenin. A new Biography. The First Account Using All the Secret Soviet Archives”, is a great source for my own work now. I had the honor of helping bring to the world the full version of Marshal Georgy Zhukov’s memoirs – I still remember the trepidation of handling his typewritten pages, with the legendary man’s handwritten markups, as he exposed the true nature of Stalin, Molotov, Zinoviev and many others that he dealt with personally."

Alexey was the General Manager of the Moscow office of Intel; at Microsoft he was responsible for all business in 12 countries – the majority of the former Russian Empire/USSR.

Since 2000, the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.A. has been his home. Alexey is the author of a number of history books, including "Russia's Collapse" and "America's Arch Ally".
